Be a Responsible Pet Owner

The easiest way for you to make a difference is to be a responsible pet owner. License your pets. Purchase and securely place tags on your pet's collar. Take your pet to the vet regularly for checkups and vaccinations. Get your pet spayed or neutered.

Report Neglect and Abuse

Another easy way for you to make a difference is to report neglect and abuse when you see it. Don't turn your back on our animal friends! Report suspected animal abuse, cruelty, or dog fighting by calling the New Albany Animal Shelter at (812) 948-5355, the New Albany Police Department at (812) 944-6411, or other local law enforcement agency.

You can volunteer your time to make a difference in a variety of ways. In addition to working at the shelter, there are many other opportunities. We need people to help at events like our annual yard sale or golf scramble. Some people volunteer their talents and services - such as those who donate their time to create our newsletter. Adopt or Foster a Homeless Animal

The small, tax-deductible contribution for an annual membership with FCARL goes a long way toward providing us with the resources we need to continue our work.

$25 will buy 60 pet ID tags

$40 will pay for shots and tests

$60 will provide vaccine for the shleter animals for about two weeks
